Great people, Tons of opportunity - Manager Hero Employee Review

Hero is a fantastic place to work if you are willing to roll up your sleeves and wear many hats. This opens up the opportunity for individuals to learn a lot and make incredible interpersonal relationships amongst team members (within your team and cross-functionally). I have personally been able to grow into numerous roles over the last few years, with a great deal of support from management. Not every day is rainbows and sunshine, just like any other company - BUT, if you believe in Hero's mission, then it proves that even the tough moments, are worth it, and I feel I am truly making a difference in other people's lives, while I also am building my career. Win-win all around.

No cons, except that you must be a self-starter and feel passionate about retail to be successful at Hero.

Some good benefits. Awesome coworkers throughout the company, super knowledgeable and friendly. On a product level, a lot of potential and some cool ideas.

Often fear-based work environment in my subjective experience. Constantly changing plans. Management that is both detached and overly involved. Inconsistently applied rules. Limited growth in certain departments. Technical leadership lacks knowledge and insight. No equity offered.
