Pros

100% remote work environment now.

Cons

I have worked here a long time. It used to have the best corporate culture/work environment of any place I ever worked. Very few people ever left here once they got a job here. The company was very successful and they cared deeply for their employees. However, a few years ago it was bought out by private equity. We have lost over 150 employees since then and most current employees have been here less than 2 years. The benefits are worse, we lost half our holidays and they put spyware on everybody's computer to track every key stroke and mouse movement every minute of the day. On top of that, we aren't doing as well financially and they have pinned merit increases at 0-2% for the last few years. However, if you are executive management or sales team, life is wonderful, jet setting to resorts all over the country. I had heard from some admin people that their ultimate plan was to move all operations to India. I finally got out. My suggestion is only take a job here if it's your last resort for employment.

Pros

- Clear leader in insuretech - Fully remote in the U.S., but with a warm, cordial, collegial culture - A "first name" company. Say "Bob," or "Chris," and people have a strong probability of knowing who you're talking about. A great organization in which make a name for yourself - Very strong ties with top tier clients - On the right track with huge momentum and potential. Now is a great time to join.

Cons

- Mobility within the company is challenging because we are a lean organization, with competent people filling roles that cannot easily be swapped out or abandoned. Many positions have little backup.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We are proud of the warm, collegial culture you described and love hearing that our momentum and client relationships are being felt across the organization. On career mobility—while we are a lean team, we’ve built a formal career lattice that managers review with employees at least annually. Every role has mapped vertical growth, and we’ve outlined horizontal moves too. This year alone, we’ve promoted or moved over 40 employees globally. One benefit of being lean is that we are not bound by rigid hierarchies. We have the flexibility to be creative and support individual interests. So, if you don’t see a clear path forward, just reach out to your manager or HR Business Partner. We’d love to talk about ways you can continue to grow here at Hexure.

Pros

Flexible PTO, flexible schedules, USED to be remote.

Cons

Workloads are overwhelming, executive leadership is so far removed from the actual work going on day to day. Very little room to advance or grow. Poor decisions by management and leadership. Company was recently acquired, and now all employees not near an office are required to report to a (limited) location option within 24 months. Very much uncertainty within the company and many experienced workers are looking to leave due to the lack of transparency about the new “hybrid” model for those nowhere near an office location.
