Pros

-Health Insurance, assuming you can afford to live on what's left once the premium is taken out of your paycheck -The individuals we serve

Cons

-Low pay -Lack of support -High turnover -Lack of workplace culture -No empathy for staff (from supervisors) - Policies requiring acknowledgement and other trainings seem excessive. Definitely a cya attempt in case the company gets sued (again) -Pay for performance, the way they've rolled it out, seems illegal. You don't get paid full salary if you don't hit a billable target, even though you have no control over whether the individuals show up or not. -Its degrading as a master level therapist to clock in and out like we work at McDonalds

Pros

Supportive leadership, a wonderful place to work if you are dedicated to helping others and knowing each day that you make a difference in the lives of people you serve

Cons

Compensation is not always at market rates, however when an employee considers the ability to work and make a difference, that is not offered everywhere

Pros

Opportunity to work with complex psychiatric cases and gain experience managing high-acuity individuals in a crisis stabilization setting. Exposure to a wide range of mental health conditions.

Cons

Workload can be extremely demanding with high patient volume and significant documentation requirements. Providers are often expected to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, which can contribute to burnout. At times there is a level of micromanagement in clinical workflows that can feel discouraging for experienced providers who value professional autonomy. Limited positive feedback or recognition can also impact overall morale.
