Pros

Good group of people as a collective but many are looking to move on as management is an unhappy place.

Cons

With the CEO recently moving on under dubious circumstances and a number of GM's under fire for crossing the owner and myself being recently attached and pushed out for challenging the status quo it makes it hard to see a future for this company and anyone who joins it.

While we support current and former employees' rights to express their opinions, we prefer to ensure that they are factual, so we would like to correct three inaccuracies in this post: First, Hogan has no GM positions at all. Therefore, the “GMs under fire” comment is not possible. Second, our previous CEO resigned. We all agreed that he would continue to represent us for a period--an agreement which both parties happily honored. He remains a close friend of the firm and has graciously provided some assistance after his resignation. That hardly supports “dubious” circumstances regarding his resignation, and we believe such comments are disrespectful of him and his contributions. Finally, we neither force people to lie or mislead other employees nor condone it. Doing so is inconsistent with our values, and would be unacceptable from an employee.

Pros

Good opportunity. They let you get a wide variety of experience

Cons

It'd be nicer if interns had more of a secure job lined up after internship

Pros

Work-life balance is great. Remote culture with lots of flexibility. Small-time private company feel, but with the stability of a very successful product. Working on something that actually makes a positive difference in the world! Science-first mindset is refreshing and motivating. 95% of colleagues are the smartest, kindest, and hardest working people you’ll ever work with. Senior leadership invests a lot into keeping the culture one of humility, respect, and fun. New CEO has strong support.

Cons

People stay here for a VERY long time, and for some it’s the only job they’ve ever had. This can lead to some change resistance, entitlement, unrealistic expectations, etc. Not a lot of senior positions available due to company size, either, so progression is limited unless you change departments.
