Pros
Preset appointments, quality products. Annual holiday party and summer event. Lots of training.
Cons
The company is in transition and just changed everything. They told us they no longer want the sales reps to have any power. Now they have a mandated schedule that every rep has to follow, working 6 days/week, being on call from 8 am to 7 pm every day, with limited days off per year. Reps are not treated as assets, but more like they are disposable. Company is constantly hiring — up to 20 new reps per week. They say its because they’re expanding, but its really because everyone leaves as soon as they figure out what’s going on. If you want to be a 1099 worker and yet have all the restrictions and limitations of an employee, without any of the benefits, then work here. Also, they inflate the average first year rep’s earnings. The average rep quits before they make it a year. Of the ones that stay, a couple will make good money (80K-100K), some will make 40K-60K, and most will make $500/week until they can’t support themselves and leave. The reviews saying its a family environment were true years ago, not anymore. Greed and growth are the key words. Management uses people until they have nothing left to give, and then replaces them with new blood. In addition, install quality has gotten so bad that I spend my one day off on the phone/emailing with angry customers. They have begun limiting the product line so severely that its almost impossible to sell a roof — our roof product and prices are 4X higher than everyone else, and that’s all your allowed to offer. Gutters are 4X more than competition.
