Pros

Great place to be if you enjoy helping elderly and their families.

Cons

This is not a secure place to work. We have had 3 big layoffs 2025/26, the third being just after the new year. No one was given any notice ahead of time so they could get ahead and look for new employment. After each layoff we are told that it will not affect us, but obviously that is not true. Very sad to watch staff who enjoyed their work to be cut one after another. We are all holding our breath waiting for the next layoff to roll in.

Thank you for this feedback. Navigating change is never easy, and we understand that uncertainty can take a real toll on the people who show up every day committed to our mission. As a startup operating in healthcare/care advising, we are deeply affected by shifts in healthcare funding, policy, and the broader economy, which can require us to move quickly and make difficult decisions to ensure the company's long-term viability. Those decisions are never made lightly, and they are never a reflection of the value our team members bring. We genuinely value people like you who care deeply about the work, and we don't take that for granted. We're focused on building a more communicative environment so that our team feels informed and supported even during uncertain times. If you'd like to share more or have questions, our HR team is always open to hearing from you directly.

Pros

We are a mission driven business that promotes a positive culture of inclusivity, collaboration and transparency. It is an environment that welcomes fresh ideas and perspectives and where I am able to make meaningful change and my contributions are valued. I have been able to develop my skills in areas where I did not previously have experience.

Cons

Changing priorities (not really a con, just sometimes difficult to quickly pivot and adopt new processes and goals)

Cons

This environment may not be for those who require a high amount of managing. As with any small organization, responsibilities and deadlines can be dynamic.
