Pros

great team and colleagues, good ideas and efforts on the employee level, helpful support outside of leadership

Cons

leadership is driven by investors, no consistency with strategy or direction, constant changes, no interest in HR or employee well-being, HR itself is a joke The company prides itself with being "fast-growing" and "driven" - but these phrases only cover up the ever present lack of consistent leadership. People and whole teams are let go on the fly, impactful business decisions are taken without explanations or reasoning. Senior staff with years of expertise is treated with no respect - even going the extra mile for the company is simply considered mandatory. "Hustling" like it's a start-up with 10 employees while this became one of the largest hosting companies leads to poor service delivery and customer experience. Everyone is expected to do everything. Any efforts to bring structure, processes or clear guidance is smashed by ad-hoc management decisions and change of direction. Navigating this company is a pain. I can not recommend working here - especially if you are interested in consistency and a stable work environment.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, we genuinely value feedback from both current and former employees, as it helps us learn and improve. We’re a scaling company that’s been through a period of significant growth and change whilst we acquire new businesses, which we recognise can create uncertainty and frustration. To address this, we’ve recently hired a Chief People Officer to begin building the foundations for a more consistent and positive employee experience across all parts of the business. Meaningful change takes time, investment, and the right team in place, it cannot happen overnight. We appreciate that being on the receiving end of organisational change is never easy, but these steps are essential to ensure the business is focused on the right priorities for long-term stability and success. Throughout this process, we have aimed to treat all employees including those affected by change with dignity and respect. We know there’s still work to do, and we’re committed to doing better as we strengthen our people practices and bring greater clarity and structure over the coming year.

Pros

- Decent pay for US staff. However, I was grandfathered in after A2 Hosting's acquisition and rebranding, so this could be different now. - Engaging tasks, variety. - Good for building a resume and getting familiar with common technologies. - Some room for vertical growth (L1-L3), managerial, and product positions.

Cons

- Churn and burn of old user base post-acquisition. Many customers will be upset, which makes doing your job more difficult. - Dozens of smaller brands are slowly being assimilated into the Hosting.com, and you will be supporting them too. Complete lack of documentation surrounding most of these brands, tons of tribal knowledge, lack of clear SMEs. You will need to get to know everybody and self-organize. - Several rounds of company-wide RIFs, largely targeting US staff, likely in order to cut costs - Not remote friendly.

Pros

Only some people are friendly

Cons

This company look good online but reality is very diferent. Work enviroment is toxic and full of stress. Management care more about image than people. In the office many people are very twofaced. They smile and act friendly in front of you, but talk bad behind your back. You never know who you can trust and this make work very uncomfortable. They are asking employes to write positive reviews and then tell them to confirm when done after posting. This make many people very uncomfortable. It feel like they are tracking who post and who not. Many employes afraid if they don’t do it, they can lose job or get punished. If company was really good, they would not need to force workers to write good things. High rating is not real, it is made by pressure. People are scared, morale is low, and trust is gone. I do not recomend working here if you value respect and honest work culture.
