Pros

Work from home. Vacation leave.

Systemic issues related to management not understanding creative agency operations at every level. Repeated failures to resolve issues. Conflicting direction for operations. Role confusion. Lack of process and unwillingness to adopt process. Understaffed creative team. Accountability. Lack of interest in learning from experienced staff. Lack of interest in feedback from staff and clients. Raising your hand to help puts you in the cross hairs. Hostile work environment. Very limited parental leave. Vindictive leadership.

Pros

In the 3+ years I've been here, we have been in a constant state of change. Up until about a year ago, it was change for the sake of change in an environment of fear-driven decision making, nepotism, and discrepant communications from leadership. Since our new owners came on board, there has continued to be change. BUT things we actually needed, with purpose and meaningful results. I cannot say this loudly enough: best case scenario. I have stayed for the people, and I feel fortunate that I did because I work with some incredible people, and it finally feels like the agency acknowledges and reflects that. Other pro's: - the work is meaningful - all the things I love about brand but with a deep focus on human insights that provides benefits to humans. - generous PTO and great flexibility, love the remote work setting with annual opps to get together - voices are now heard and ideas are welcome - we're able to drive change - get to work with some really smart, interesting, and all around cool people

Cons

We're rebuilding with intention, and in a period of transition. This can be messy and frustrating at times, but the outcomes will be (and have been) worth it.

Thank you. It's great to be back on track and to read about the impact of everyone's efforts on our own humans. We'll definitely keep being transparent and thanks for helping to put the wind back in our sails!

Pros

Due to the global job market you will get to work with some smart, creative people that are also stuck working here.

Cons

There are too many to list. The agency changed from Ph.Creative to Human Magic in response to a new CEO and more importantly a flood of negative reviews (that have now since vanished from Glassdoor) accurately identifying all of the issues within the agency. Rather than address these issues over the years the agency name changed and they've doubled down on 'magic' which is a combination of: - burning talented people out - bait-and-switch tactics - misrepresenting resources, clients, and results This place is the reddest of flags. For an employer brand agency stressing authenticity they don't even cover their tracks with positive Glassdoor reviews coming from leadership posted on the same day.

We’re sorry to hear that this was your perspective, though it doesn’t reflect the culture or experience that the vast majority of our team shares. While we respect your right to share your opinion, there are claims in your review that don’t align with the reality of how we operate or treat our people. We take feedback seriously, but we also feel it’s important to correct the record when a review misrepresents who we are. At Human Magic, we’re building something special—rooted in collaboration, trust, and high standards. It’s not for everyone, but it’s a place where great people come to do the best work of their careers. We wish you well in your future roles and hope you find a team that’s the right fit for you.
