Pros

I decided to write this review because I saw a couple of former employees wrote completely unfair negative reviews. If you notice, these employees all worked with us for less than a year. SO, it is pretty easy to figure out who they are. It is unfortunate that people who were unable to perform the objectives listed in their job description and make costly mistakes over and over again expect to stay employed based on their personality alone. Our CEO is also the owner who started the company. He has been a great mentor to many of us at the company who have been there a while. I see on a regular basis that he listens to us and rewards great ideas from us. If you are an employee who is unable to follow basic instructions...yes, it may be harder to suggest things to him. I have been at this company for over 3 years now and I really like the culture and social aspect of the company. I enjoy that people want to get together after work or on weekends. It makes going to work more fun when you enjoy the people you work with.

Cons

There were some issues with how our writing positions were structured where these positions ended up having to do a lot of customer service/sales. However, we recently did a reorganization of the company and this has fixed the problem.

Pros

I have worked here over 2 years and have moved up twice already. Hard work pays off. My managers have all been good. Owners have been nice and helped me out twice when I needed it. No questions asked.

Cons

There isn't any down time. We probably need to hire more people. Always have too much to do.

Pros

I learned a lot on the technical side of things from my direct manager. There was a good sense of humor in the office and people were, for the most part, supportive of one another. The content team seems to be on an upward journey. Very good group of people, if you stay long enough you're basically family. There is a lot of potential here, I just hope they use it.

Cons

There is a lot of gossip, unprofessionalism, inappropriate jokes, chatrooms made to complain about co-workers or managers, and the current location is only cleaned once a week (they are going to a new location in 2019, hopefully it'll be cleaned properly with the amount of employees there are). Management tries to be your friend, which in most cases ends up making them look like liars because there is a lot of talk and little action. The employees in content are over-worked, especially management which in turn gives everything a sense of urgency and anxiety. There is a well-known fear of the CEO, he may know your name but people talk about the couple of times he has fired people over disagreements. Leadership has a tendency to drop random projects they thought up over the weekend on the content team when their plates are already completely full, they are expected to add new projects and keep the same timelines for everything else.
