Pros
Company has a minimum of paperwork requirements for the field personnel. The management is generally easy going and only occasionally "micro manages". They supply the field personnel with a laptop, smart phone and iPad. If you decide to use any personal equipment on the jobsite, if it's lost, stolen or damaged, they will replace it.
Cons
Company has no structure for awarding raises in pay. Pay rates for field personnel are a the low end of the scale for the area. No Christmas Bonuses. Job by job bonuses are supposedly available to all Field Superintendents, based on the profit margin, but it's strictly up to the Project Managers. Travel expense (gas) money is usually only made available to those Superintendents working on "ground up" projects, of which ICI does very few. Company has pivoted from doing commercial work to doing school remodels. These jobs typically are done during the school system's off times and easily morph into 7 day a week jobs with 12 to 14 hour work days. Company has a very clannish office staff. They try not to mix with the Field Personnel unless absolutely necessary and the owners don't really know who works for them in the field.
