Pros

Allowed you to build your resume and your administrative skills while working on building your career.

Cons

There were so many issues with this company. First, there is no structure within the company. The CEO and controls the entire company. Thus, creating a lack of opportunity for those to discuss their wants, needs and concerns without fear of losing their job. All of the managers were extremely clique-y. They spoke mostly Korean and did little to offer you constructive criticism, solid training and team morale. They often gossiped about you or other employees in the office rather loudly or constantly took naps or smoke breaks. Management smoked so frequently that you often could not reach them for help at a reasonable time. Their smoke breaks ranged from 15-30 minutes every hour while other employees (past and present) are berated for taking short walks to catch some fresh air from breathing secondhand smoke constantly. The CEO would also constantly gossip about past employees. Citing inaccurate and unprofessional statements to build fear in the present employees to yearn them not to quit. There is no set time off. I was told one thing by the CEO and then was told another by my manager and co-workers. It was not clear how many days off we were given. We were given “personal” days where we can take time off when we need to, but we must be wary of how often we do it, lest the CEO or managers gossips about it behind our backs. Expect your pay to be cut if you do miss a day, even for unforeseen circumstances. The CEO and management would often berate you in public (with their office door open, with others on the phone while on speaker or during mandatory lunch time). Lastly, there is one vague training manual, but no real training. You are told to read over the manual several times and memorize it and then just watch your team member perform their tasks and hope you understand it. If you make any mistakes you aren’t given the space to learn from them, except, you are brought into the office and berated and then told that you will be “constantly supervised” from here on out. There is little learning to do within this company and little skills to be developed as you are constantly being “checked” without proper feedback and further training.

Pros

There is so much to be learned. Because ICSN is a relatively small company, you are required to wear many hats. APMs are required to perform all tasks ranging from A to Z.

Cons

It could be overwhelming at first for recent graduates who did not study a relevant major.
