Pros

Most employees are well seasoned with energy experience and middle-aged. The office location in downtown houston is almost ideal and has good tunnel access. Office setting is well appointed with generously sized offices. Regional office in durango is centrally located in the city center. Organization is relatively flat with great visability, and opportunities to shine are numerous. Deadlines are fluid or non-existant as the management appears to be very flexible. Flexible work schedules available with wfh on friday. Health insurance is about 90% covered by employer.

Cons

Employee turnover in houston is incredibly high at about 1 employee per month, out of about 35 total employees. Voluntary and involuntary seperation is about 50/50. Software and IT related challenges are unbearable and creates the flase impression of staff incompetence. Management decisions on strategy, operations, and staff management are poor and short-sighted. Environment and processes are too fluid and disorganized. Accountablity is non-existant at all levels as well as communication of expectations. 401k matching % and 4 year vesting schedule is pathetic. Management is comprised of business development people who essentially have no idea how to operate a business.
