Pros

The company has posted significant growth in the past few years and has made some noise in the market. Thereby, the credentials of IPDC is stronger than it used to be to other employers. In most (not all) departments, employees are able to maintain a work-life balance. The company culture is quite good in the context of the market. A very large number of the staff is below 30, so a good place to work for people at the beginning of their career. IPDC pays higher than most other competitors.

Cons

As an NBFI, the products and services are very plain vanilla. As a result it is very difficult to move to a bank or a financial firm that offers specialized services. The back office operations follow very outdated processes. Despite repeated efforts to change these processes, they have never been implemented due to the unwillingness of some of the older employees. Nearly all (but not all) line managers have one major weakness - they are unable to efficiently delegate tasks to their team. Some people are overworked whereas others do next to nothing on a work day. This demoralises many employees and has become a cause of concern. There is a culture of "buttering" in the company. Many mid to senior level employees benefit from this by gaining promotions and recognitions without producing significant output, but by maintaining strong rapport with members of the top management. Self-marketing is extremely important at IPDC. Otherwise you will go unnoticed. It is extremely difficult for back office employees to rise up the ladder as fast as their front office colleagues. The Managing Director and CEO follows a rigid, top-down management style. He retains the power to nullify actions by others or undertake some initiatives, without assessing the implications. He has been setting unrealistic targets, goals and expectations for the company and employees. Majority of the employees do not share his vision.

Pros

Flexible schedule, great for a SAHM, free parking

Cons

Contract position, no benefits, and no room for growth, job openings aren't common as it's a great place to work so people never leave.
