Pros

Good pay + perks Company travel is quite extravagant at times Old bonus structure

Cons

Fakest group of people I've ever had the displeasure of working with. I can't overstate how much of a clique-y environment the marketing/creative team has at this place. They think they're creating transcendent, award-winning work. While in reality, I've never seen a marketing team waste millions of dollars so quickly in my entire career. The people that have been there the longest have control over everything. There's no real leadership or accountability for the actions of a small group of power-hungry manipulators running this part of the organization. The company is constantly restructuring and laying off talented people.

Pros

- Remote first - Kind coworkers - Fun brand

Cons

My entire career has been built on digital transformation/migration projects, but IPSY showed me a new kind of chaos. A very immature project management function coupled with constant rebrands, shifting priorities, and last-minute legal changes made it feel like they were trying to rebuild the car while it's already rolling downhill. Still a spreadsheet place. Product requirements constantly got buried in Slack. (Why are we so afraid of email?) Disjointed processes and minimal communication to contractors. (It's often the norm to treat contractors like secondary citizens, but most places will at least communicate info relevant to your job). Seems like a bad idea to lay off tech team members midway through a delayed transformation project.
