Pros

Easiest way nowadays to step foot into the tech field. Company have trainings that get you ready to take calls. Work from home.

Cons

Back to back call volumes which really stressing. You're supporting a lot of telcos so you need to be aware of their expectations and what they are supporting. You're dealing with a lot of angry customers. Higher ups can see your screen and they also do monthly reviews with regulations.

Pros

ISPN has a promote from within mindset which enables all employees (including myself) to grow while working here. I started as a Level 1 tech myself straight out of community college but have worked my way through a number of roles during my time here. From Level 1 tech to Level 2 tech, then Tech Supervisor, and joining the management team after. The company improved drastically after new owners purchased the company as well.(This was years ago at this point) While I don't think perfection exists I genuinely believe things will only continue to improve as well.

Cons

The nature of entry positions at ISPN can be both repetitive and stressful at times. Repetitive as you are taking the same kind of calls everyday and stressful when the customers are upset due to items outside of your control. Learning to stay focused in the moment and convince callers that you are ultimately on their side is key in these tech positions.
