Pros

There are no pros to working here.

Cons

The TAM role is an ambiguous, ill defined role that changes from week to week and from leader to leader. Senior leadership’s vision for the TAM role as a technical resource does not match the middle management’s vision of the role, which is perceived to be a personal assistant to others on the team. You will serve as the scapegoat for your pod coworker’s lack of competency, organization, and account ownership. You will be managed by absentee middle management who is completely oblivious and apathetic to the needs of their own brands as well as the complexity of the tasks that you will be made to take from the engineering team (all of the reporting process). If you voice concerns about workload you will be micromanaged out. You will be plunged into processes and campaigns with zero context or documentation, and any attempt to make sense of it through careful learning will be weaponized against you as inefficiencies. You will likely not make it past the probationary period because this role was designed to fail on a structural level, made worse by middle management’s utter lack of leadership.

Pros

High level of autonomy in the company. People are expected to perform at a high level and are given top resources to do so. The culture is good with a combination of a hybrid and remote team. Competitive compensation and benefits. Fast growing company with a lot of upside in growth trajectory.

Cons

People joining have an immediate impact on the team so they are expected to hit the ground running, which is not a con necessarily but it's something to be prepared for.
