Pros
- for the most part you have opportunities for coverage if your client cancels - ok starting pay considering other companies - co-worker RBTs are mostly 20 something’s, friendly - no paper data, we use our phones for stats collection - staff is pretty supportive for immediate help with clients, bathroom breaks, and questions thanks to use of walkie talkies - BCBAs keep track of supervisions for you - sometimes free pizza on Friday
Cons
- no pay if no coverage is available and client cancels - really hard to get a raise, they’ll offer 25 cent raises at a time - the coverage sheet is convoluted, you may sign up and still not be guaranteed a session, especially if late in the day or early in the morning - PTO accrues SO slowly - you are forced to use PTO before unpaid time off for sick days or emergencies - birthday PTO does not stack and must be used before your next birthday - birthday PTO is not your normal pay rate - if your client is later than 30 minutes you will not be paid anymore and have to cancel the session or continue to wait without pay
