Pros

Great people really committed to delivering a great service to our customers. New senior leadership in the last two years. A clear strategic plan with objectives and goals. Lots of positive change happening. Hybrid/flexible working and many employee initiatives.

Cons

It’s a fast paced, challenge with a lot of positive change happening in the organisation to modernise and fix some long term historic issues. Though positive and is a really exciting time to be part of the company it has been unsettling for some.

Pros

The best part of working at Incommunities is the range of opportunities available to get involved across different networks, events and campaigns, including Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, reverse mentoring, and culture-focused initiatives. It creates a workplace where people can feel a strong sense of belonging. I’ve only been here a short time and have already progressed into a new role and received a promotion. You get out what you put in, so building strong relationships with stakeholders really helps you get involved in projects and grow your career. My managers supported my development within months of joining. The pension scheme is very good, and flexible working is a real benefit. You are not tied to being in the office every day. You can come in when needed for meetings, and there is flexibility with hours if you need to finish early and make the time up later.

Cons

The Simplyhealth scheme is quite basic. It’s helpful, but it could be stronger, especially for an organisation that focuses on health and wellbeing. The gym discounts are mostly for lower-cost gyms like PureGym. It would be better to offer a wider range, including places like Village Gym, JD Gyms or Bannatyne. At times, management can lack clear direction. Tasks can take longer to move forward, and it can feel like you have to repeat yourself before things get done. Teamworking can also be a challenge when you find yourself chasing others, rather than this being led by the manager. Experiences can vary a lot between departments.
