Pros

The company's most significant positive is the presence of genuinely kind-hearted and supportive managers and developers. They contribute positively to the work environment, although their continued presence in the company may be uncertain due to ongoing challenges. A Note on Team Dynamics: While there are a few good and supportive team members currently, their stay at the company is uncertain due to the prevalent issues of workload and work-life balance. Potential new joiners might not find the same supportive environment if these individuals decide to leave.

Cons

1. Role Clarification and Non-Standard Titles: The company creates unique job titles such as 'Head of AI Infrastructure' and 'Head of AI Tools,' etc , which are uncommon in the industry. This practice can lead to confusion both internally and externally, as these roles may not have a clear or standardized set of responsibilities or recognition in the broader market. This could potentially impact career progression and clarity in role expectations. 2. Biased Recognition and Work Culture: There is a noticeable disparity in how achievements are recognized within the company. A few individuals receive commendation for their efforts, regardless of the impact, while the hard work of others, even those who tirelessly dedicate themselves, often goes unacknowledged. This biased recognition contributes to a negative work culture, where effort and merit are not consistently appreciated, leading to a demotivating atmosphere for many employees. 3. Job Security and Layoffs: The company's approach to abrupt layoffs contributes to a sense of job insecurity. 4. Challenges in Fundraising: Difficulties in raising funds may be affecting the company's stability and growth. 5. Misaligned Expectations: Promises made during hiring, such as significant funding, high-profile clients, and a balanced work-life, are often unfulfilled. 6. High Turnover Rate: A 40% turnover rate in the last year, mainly due to excessive workload and pressure, is alarming. 7. Health Concerns and Stress: Intense work demands have led to serious health issues among staff, including stress, back pain, and eye problems. 8. Lack of Structured Processes: The absence of methodologies like sprints or SDLC results in ad-hoc tasks and unrealistic delivery expectations, with little recognition for additional effort. 9. Work-Life Balance and Unrealistic Expectations: Leadership, including the CEO and CTO, sets unrealistic deadlines, expecting employees to work excessively, impacting work-life balance. 10. Questionable Onboarding Practices and Feedback Authenticity: During the onboarding process, new hires are encouraged to post positive reviews on Glassdoor and to display the company's banner on their LinkedIn profiles. This practice raises concerns about the authenticity of the positive feedback seen on these platforms, suggesting that some of it might be orchestrated by HR rather than being genuine employee experiences

Thank you for your feedback. While the company acknowledges some of the points such as past challenges in fundraising & layoffs (the company is now well capitalised and is rehiring) due to uncertain global environment, some of the other points are your personal views and the company does not solicit them. The company is very sorry to see that you did not have a desirable experience and will strive to improve further.
