I am uncertain as to whether this response will be seen by the former employee that posted on Jan 9/18. My hope is that it will be. First of all, I am an engineer, I began my own engineering firm here in Atlanta over 2 years ago. I am a WOMAN. I would like to say that your petty, whiny, "I talked to a friend who worked for the company and his boss...." , "discrimination against women" claim is EXACTLY the cause of the perpetuating stereotype I, along with so many women, are working so hard to eliminate. First of all, engineers, especially female engineers, are in HUGE demand right now. I am certain the CEO of this company with its extensive list of services I reviewed on the website would be able to find a position other than being used in the traveling field. You would have had the opportunity to field this question if you had actually applied and interviewed for this position versus taking the heresay of a male employee and then following it up with a scolding review. Let's discuss the other side of this supposed concern you have of a female engineer traveling with mostly males. I am certain you have kept up with current events to know that any CEO/Manager would be an absolute IDIOT not to take that concern into consideration. You do not own your own company my female friend but I can assure you that we have to be concerned every second of every day with possible issues harassment and/or discrimination . I have the reverse issue with men working around more women. I have to be aware that people like YOU rather write a review than come and discuss a possible issue with me. So do all of us women a favor, like the small company or not, like the manager/CEO or not....we small business owners work tirelessly to keep our companies afloat. We forego paychecks at times to make sure you do not have to forego yours. We do our best to maintain the salaries and benefits that make us a competitive hiring company. So until you dream big enough to seek out an actual interview with this company or any other; withhold a review that hurts small companies like ours. If I could rate this company with 10 starts to counteract yours I would certainly do so. This women's movement has to be backed by women who are ready to personify the smart, tough and bold business players that we claim to be.
