Pros
Flexible working schedules, decent pay with good raises, in office snacks and drinks, lunch provided at least twice per month. Some engineers are very knowledgeable and helpful, just need to seek them out.
Cons
PTO policy is bad and not competitive for the industry. The 80/9 schedule has more flaws than perks because of monthly lab maintenances removing flexibility. Leadership and overall company vision has been derailed over the last year. Nobody knows what they want, which causes huge amounts of confusion and strain on engineering teams. Shifting priorities led to a recent round of layoffs. We never know specific tasking more than a month in advance. Work arrangements can be changed on a whim, going from fully remote to fully on site without warning. Company reorgs have become a running joke, there have been 3 major reorgs in as many years, and I’ve had 3 different personnel managers in that time, stunting my professional growth. Some senior engineers in the lab openly bash and ridicule other employees, especially those in program management or who work fully remotely. This truly used to be an enjoyable and interesting place to work, but lately it has been complete chaos, and I in good conscience would not recommend anyone work here.
