Pros

Lots of great people, fun work, and laid back culture. Technicians are willing to help adjust machines to produce good parts. Consistent company in terms of running 24/7, always something to work on, parts are always being made and there is always something that needs to be worked on. Good cross-collaboration between departments.

Cons

The amount of tribal knowledge that people refuse to pass down or communicate to others is absurd. Total running "machine hours" is 100% the primary focus in this company. There is little to no regard to the outcome of the parts or the overall quality. The definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result" and that should be the motto here. The same mistakes will be made over and over again, costing the company thousands, but as long as the "machine hours" are up, that's all that matters.

Pros

They treat their office people well enough

Cons

Low pay, especially for people on the factory floor. The only employees i2 tech could attract were either people with a criminal record and nowhere else to go or first generation immigrants. They did not invest in air conditioning for factory floor workers. When it got hot, it was unbearable on the floor. Upper management was always complaining about not being able to find reliable workers. They always talked about people on their phones, never about providing a livable wage. From the beginning of my time there, I was very open about not having enough to do. I don't see the point in working 50 hours if I don't even have enough to fill a 30 hour work week. After 2 years, they decided to let me go with no warning. Fair enough, but when someone tells you they don't have enough to do from week 1, maybe don't wait 2 years before deciding to do something about it.
