Pros

Can do this job from literally anywhere and you make your own schedule. Articles are short. Communication with staff is simple.

Cons

The pay is a joke. If you can pump out a 450ish word article in less than an hour, then the $10 an article is okay because it can average out to be more like $15ish an hour approximately. However, you also have to find images to insert and resize, which doesn't take but maybe 5 minutes. Still, they require a minimum of 20 articles a week for part timers and 40 for fulltime. And the $10 an article for THAT many articles just seems exploitative to me.

Pros

Inquisitr is NOT the same company it was 2-3 years ago. Current management has worked hard to turn the site around. I can't say enough good things about the staff, timely weekly pay, and the many tools given to help writers. The site continually strives to do better and the staff makes changes as needed to roll with the times. Inquisitr staff is always on hand for help and it's a real team environment.

Cons

This is not really a con, but there is a quota. It is an easy quota to hit for someone who makes their living as a writer, but could be hard for someone who has a full-time job outside of that.

Pros

Had the ability to write as much as I wanted and was really able to make quite a bit of money per week for this only being a side gig at the time. (Until the company completely flopped)

Cons

All they want you to write about is sexy/bikini/Instagram model clickbait nonsense. No integrity to the writing whatsoever. The managing editor at the time told me I was being let go with no notice whatsoever in the midst of the pandemic. She was then let go herself a short time later. But here's the kicker...the owner of the company then reached out to ME for a favor. The favor: to use a professional connection of mine to help the same person who fired me get another job.
