Pros

Benefits package. That is it nothing more! Glassdoor is requiring a minimum word count for the pros section but I wouldn't write anther positive thing about this company if you paid me, even if it was like A LOT OF MONEY!!!

Cons

This place is a wreck! I wish I could give 0 stars!!!!!! There is so much that goes on behind the scenes it's not even funny. First if all if your are hiring for a position called "Client Service" then don't instruct your employees to be "more curt" with the customers and tell them to try to make every call no more than 3-5 min. At one point I was reprimanded by my team lead for the way I spoke to a client WHEN THE TEAM LEAD IS THE ONE WHO TOLD ME TO SAY THOSE EXACT WORDS TO THE CLIENT (I was told to threaten to hang up on the client if they didn't agree to pay fees to expedite a transaction)!!! But when my team lead's boss found out about it, she wasn't pleased, I was thrown under the bus faster than you can imagine and bore the brunt of it while he told me he was sorry but he had to cuz I'm the one who did it (fyi, he high-fived me after I said what he told me to say to the client) but no I wasn't pressured into doing that at all (extreme sarcasm). And there is so much inter-departmental warring going on that it's a wonder anything gets accomplished. And god forbid you show any initiative that doesn't exactly align with what they already want. They want cronies who kiss butt and assuage egos. That's how you get ahead at Millennium Trust Company. Don't even get me started on what they do to customers. If a rep is having a bad day, the customer could end up paying fees through the nose. There is no oversight on charging fees. A rep has the authority to throw every fee in the book at a client, but try to get a fee refunded for a client and it's a week long process. I won't go any further so my review actually makes it up on the board ("company secrets" and all). And then there's the part where if you kiss up, you can show up late, pass your work off to others, take longer lunches, etc. But if you won't slip into their mold, your fired or treated like dirt. And the reviews listed on here that are 4 and 5 stars, are put up here by employees who received a perk for kissing up trying to make the company look better. I've NEVER worked at a more crooked financial firm. Oh here, this part is really fun... YOU MAY NOT NOTIFY THE COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT WITHOUT MANAGEMENT APPROVAL! That's shady! I've worked in the investment field for over 10 years at 3 other firms and interacted with dozens more. If you have a compliance concern you are too immediately notify compliance without management approval and they have a duty to address the concern. There is no chain of command when it comes to compliance (at compliant firms anyway). There is here though. If you contact compliance without your manager's approval you will get reprimanded. I was reprimanded! And it wasn't even about the firms actions, I had a concern about a client's account. I followed the protocol I had used based on FINRA, NASD, SEC, etc. regulations. These are the rules you should follow when it comes to compliance matters! But the regulatory oversight in regards to alternative investment is so low that they feel they can get away with these things. In short... THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! IF YOU LIKE YOUR SANITY, DON'T WORK HERE!
