Pros

I would not be able to list even one

Cons

Starting out, wrong job title with wrong responsibilities advertised. Regretted joining the first day. No job security, hire and fire. No clear reporting structure. No HR manager. No onboarding. No clear work responsibilities defined. No proper IT support. No team spirit, everyone for themselves.

Dear "Anonymous", We're incredibly proud of our high-performing team at IDG. Being in business for nearly 30 years and employing hundreds of people speaks volumes about the successes we and our employees have shared over the years. We're always on the lookout for bright and talented people to join our organization. However, unfortunately, from time to time, we can make a "huge mistake" and hire someone who isn't able to meet our standards. It's true that our environment demands a level of pace and commitment that isn't for everyone. As we continue to thrive and set new benchmarks in our industry, our focus will remain on those who can rise to the occasion. Good luck in your next position.

Pros

None that outweigh the cons.

Cons

Where do I begin? This company has a few “core employees” who have been with the company since it was practically founded. If you are not one of these very few employees, you are disposable in the eyes of management. Management will walk all over you with no regard. Management will ask you to do things that are clearly out of your job description or contracted hours of work, with no additional pay. If you refuse, you will be fired. Being employed at this company is simply equivalent to being a puppet. You have no free will or rights. You’d be better off joining the circus.

Pros

In a smaller manufacturing environment, you handle AP, AR, inventory, payroll, month-end, reporting — great for building full-cycle accounting skills early in your career.

Cons

Smaller finance departments mean fewer layers (Accountant → Senior → Controller), so advancement opportunities may be slower.
