The Behavior Technicians are paid as independent contractors which violates labor laws and BACB policy. As a BT you are also expected to buy your own materials which should be provided by the BCBA. The clients’ programs are not updated regularly and not individualized. The children often times are bored and do not have enough to work on during the session so you end up having to come up with things to do to fill the time. There is little to no training and barely and BCBA supervision.
