Pros

WFH Flexible work schedule Smart and talented colleagues

Cons

Gross over hiring and poor field sales/channel/marketing strategy has resulted in under 10% of AEs hitting their targets. Getting by on one enterprise AE pulling in large deals to save the quarter. Constant churn and turnover is resulting in no sustained success. Poor environment for sales. There are is not a culture of promoting from within at Interact. There are no clear promotional pathways outlined and have not seen a single BDR get promoted during my time at Interact. There is also no alignment or relationship between the BDRs and AEs. Successful AE/BDR teams work together to map accounts, strategize which prospects to go after and work in tandem to drive pipeline growth. Instead AEs wait around for meetings to get booked and run canned demos using outdated sales methodologies and death by PowerPoint vs building rapport and relationships with prospects and selling to the cost of inaction. Some of the more tenured AEs expect meetings to be handed to them on a silver platter without doing any proper discovery or research, nor do they book meetings on their own and are solely reliant on inbound leads. When you’re building an outbound engine, AEs need to be able to generate their own meetings and work in tandem with their BDRs. The pandemic is over, you are not going to experience an influx of inbound leads built solely out of sheer necessity. Outbound is given zero support and are forced to focus on events that yield little to no success. Senior leadership is incapable of uniting the efforts of Sales, Marketing and Customer Success, and struggle to compete in a space as crowded as intranets. Their competitors messaging, understanding of their ICP, and ability to forge meaningful connections in the space is contributing to Interact’s market presence to be less than ideal. BDRs are often belittled and berated in meetings and when asked for feedback the response is absolute silence due to fear of retaliation.

Pros

You're selling a product that really stands above the competition and the company provides a very hands of approach to the sales process. The sales teams is really more like a family of highly qualified individuals. Also, management are all former salespeople which is what you want because they understand the ups and downs of sales and they're not pushing unattainable goals and quotas.

Cons

It's really hard to say a lot of bad things about Interact truly. I think the only thing I could say is that Interact is very white male heavy environment but they are currently doing a lot more to change that. I don't really blame Interact for it I think it's the industry to which we exist.

Pros

Easy worklife balance Great product Good people

Cons

Recent turnover in management There is one AE that goes to all the trade shows and takes all the leads for themselves, and the rest of us are left with nothing. Hard to hit goal when there's no meetings.
