Pros

Good benefits. Interesting projects. Was initially a really excited, eclectic team. Initially great career opportunities & advancement.

Cons

Slowly good talent kept leaving because of chaos, resentment. Saw lay-offs due to unexplained cut-backs & people burned out then fired. Also saw ppl leave because of disagreements with ownership or nepo hires that left things hostile. Nepo hires underperforming, untrustworthy & bad to deal with but fail up despite poor project management. Entire departments were built up by engaged, hard-working individuals and performing as asked only to find themselves facing pressure to launch products that aren't ready, do more w less, then shutdowns & lay-offs. Saw operators come in sick and work extra shifts get treated poorly for no reason. Failed to keep ppe stocked, provide SDS & get things like ventilation put up in time, then asked operators to work anyway. If you bring it up ppl get mad. These established depts were tossed middle managment & left to deal with tightening of the belt while unestablished depts got focus. Still some very intelligent, driven ppl holding down the fort but things are pretty gutted & unstable.

Pros

Great hourly associates, and dynamic projects.

Cons

Average pay, poor benefits, no advancement nomatter how qualified. Salaried positions are always recruited, no hourly laborer is ever considered. Can waste years here being sold on potential. Can develop any skill asked, only to be blacked out on project progress. Pride and “yes men” run manufacturing substrates. Salaried managers leave by noon on Fridays. Salaried leadership can say I quit, walk out, and show up again two weeks later. Nepotism is a hiring strategy for substrates. Any hourly operator receives little support, and schedule demands are not fairly considered. Once you (as an hourly) learn more, or develop more than a salaried manager, you’re a target. Also, HR only ever spoke at me, never listened. If working for people focused on job justification is you’re thing, this is the place for you
