Pros

Most floor staff are nice.

Cons

Very misleading in there interview and job advert about the following. They are not a leading professional engineering services consulting, they use outdated software and workflows. They don't fostering an open environment. I was told to stop asking questions because they prefer to stick to how they like to do things. The training they offer, is in-house by their engineering team (so they can reach there CPD hours) not credited training and must be outside of work hours (after hours or your lunch break). Social actives are at your own expense, can only join in if you cough up. They use in-house security, not to protect you but to keep regular tabs on you.

Pros

Really nice floor staff that are all ready to leave.

Cons

Horrible management. What they preach is not what they praise. I was used from day 1 with a manipulate scheme to get rid of me as soon as they found someone cheaper with a similar skillset. Management constantly investigating you and laughing and sharing it with their mates. Speed and intensity causing high stress with cad staff. A clunky customised overthought CAD system that is carried out on 6 year old Autocad software. A CAD plan that never works. A CAD manager that is polite, but really not that nice protecting his own CAD system whilst holding back the company from progression within the CAD sector. Desks that are put together using steel joiners that your mouse constantly never tracks properly. When you walk on the floor it's all at different angles under your feet; structural issues. An office with a view of an old brick wall on one side and a peak of a concrete retaining wall on the other. No safety standards at all when carrying out on site surveys. In your probationary period management management stalk your digital information including facebook, instagram, tiktok and profiles to look for faults and breach the Australian Privacy Act 1988 by spreading all your personal history amongst their clique and staff friends. They contact every single employer you have worked for without your consent. They look for cheaper staff all the time running ads on seek and on their private website. They find fault in your work and then dismiss you getting the cheaper employee in within a week telling you that you are making mistakes and too slow after 30 years of Autocad experience.
