Pros
The people at the Internet Society are to a person passionate, caring, creative, and driven. They care about a free Internet and all it can do to help humanity. The team is also diverse, it is global and distributed around the world. Your are given autonomy to problem solve and with your day to day schedule, to an extent. The work is entirely remote.
Cons
The work is entirely remote. This is also a pro, but for me it became somewhat of a con. It is hard to truly connect with coworkers when you have never met in person and it is even harder to build team cohesiveness. Even with the best intentions, working entirely remote is a challenge. The organization is also in a precarious position, fundraising has become a more urgent challenge and this has created an air of uncertainty.
