Pros

Only good before the company was acquired by Ascential.

Cons

Acquired by Ascential in June 2022 and underwent 2 rounds of retrenchment. Was then rebranded to a new company (Flywheel SEA) and the entire Flywheel group was acquired by Omnicom Group. All these with no changes/improvements to employees' benefits or way-of-work, but increased workload. Heard from peers that company was recently divested (i.e. kicked out by Omnicom). So within a span of 2 years, the company was acquired twice, went through retrenchment twice, and then divested, back to square 1. All these while having no benefits to employees, but maybe the shareholders? What fantastic decision making the leaders have!

Thank you for your honest feedback. We understand that periods of transition—such as acquisitions, restructurings, and rebranding—can create uncertainty and present real challenges for employees. The past two years have brought significant changes, and we recognize the impact this has had on our teams. Leadership decisions during times of rapid industry evolution are often made with the long-term health and competitiveness of the company in mind, though we understand this may not always translate immediately into visible benefits for employees. Your concerns about workload and employee experience are important, and we are working to ensure that support and well-being remain a key focus through any organizational changes. We appreciate your contributions and wish you the best in your future endeavors. Your perspective will be considered as we move forward.

Pros

Unmatched Learning Curve: If you want to understand the dos and donts of the digital economy, this is the place. You aren’t just looking at one brand, you’re managing complex ecosystems across marketplaces simultaneously. Dynamic Culture: The "fast-paced" label isn't just a buzzword here, it’s the reality. Strategies change based on real-time data, and there is zero room for stagnation. The People: You’re surrounded by young, tech-savvy, and highly motivated individuals. There’s a strong "in the trenches together" mentality, especially during double-digit mega-sale/double date events.

Cons

Work-Life Balance Challenges: The industry doesn't sleep. During peak seasons or big brand launches, the hours can be intense. Burnout Risk: Because the environment is so fast paced, it’s easy to overextend yourself. You have to be proactive about setting your own boundaries.
