A great business model with unused potential - Hourly Instrucor Invista Performance Solutions Employee Review

Pros

No selling required from hourly instructors - you teach the class and go. You get the materials you can teach and have the freedom to adapt the content to class needs. Flexible schedulle, no exclusivity required.

Cons

Not enough hours to make a full time job. Zero sensitivity to client needs identified by instrucors - no upselling, which would bring more business! Materials often too theoretical and not enough good content, written by unexperienced instrucional designers, behind the desk.

Pros

Interaction with many different industries, instructors, and professionals. The instructional facilitators were incredible, brilliant people. The support staff gave so much and really wanted to make the place wonderful.

Cons

The Global Solutions Officer/Dean is a narcissistic, vindictive individual who stifled many employee's careers for her own political gain. There was such an extreme lack of communication, but plenty of back-stabbing and public insults. Aside from the harassment (comments on people's sexual orientation, weight, ability, and wardrobes), the blatant cruelty and manipulation was unbearable. Her extreme lack of leadership quality showed in protecting her Senior PM who was massively under-qualified for the role, frequently screwed up important information for clients, and knew very little about professional development or coaching for her team. Ultimately, the message and vision of Invista Performance Solutions is outstanding and admirable. The execution, however, often came at the cost of burning many bridges.
