Pros
Remote work flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives.
Cons
Very high-pressure environment with clear favoritism and little accountability. Issues that are escalated are often ignored. Leadership turnover is constant (I had eight managers), which makes it difficult to succeed or feel supported. The culture can be cutthroat—placements and candidates are taken, and collaboration is minimal. There have also been inappropriate comments made by managers without consequence, and leadership often seems disengaged in meetings and 1:1s.
