I would not recommend working for Invocare ACT - Funeral Directors Assistant InvoCare Employee Review

Pros

The opportunity to help families in their time of need. I however do not believe that Invocare makes this a high priority.

Cons

Invocares focus on higher and higher sales instead of supporting and providing for the families we served. This is evident in the fact that in the ACT they now charge for the funerals of babies and minors. Incidences of mangers trying to control staff members outside of work hours was also a concern. The high turn over of staff in the ACT is directly caused by the shameful new policies and management changes brought in after Invocare was bought out by TPG.

Pros

If you are in the clique - you are great, The submissive conditioning is next level. You get a very minimal discount for certain family members dying. You also get your birthday off - after 12 months of employment.

Cons

If you have any health problems or anything personal happen and it might ever affect work - this is not the place for you if you run out of leave. I had the displeasure of watching multiple people being bullied through "circumstantial" work flows created by mid level managers as a form of punishment for you not falling in line or doing as you are told and always disguised as best for the customer. You will be supported at face value and is heavily dependant on how much you carry your manager. Please do not work here, your wellbeing is worth so much more than a baseline award pay check that you need to feel rewarded about receiving.
