Pros

Colleagues will probably be hardworking, young, and motivated. If you are looking for a company that has a direct impact on its customer's life and education you will feel motivated and thrive. Remote flexibility and good compensation. Long working hours depending on the department you are in (admissions)

Cons

The bio of this company makes it seem like the usual modern startup, but deep down it's a toxic organization with leadership flaws. Lack of strategy and leadership, appointing management positions without a foundational base, cutting resources on the team but hiring "rockstar" management roles with astronomical salaries that leave the company or get fired usually within 6 months. Another painful truth about Ironhack is, to put it bluntly, that you've got to be a white - 29-42-year-old white male to get anywhere, otherwise, you will probably end up being constantly overlooked by founders and leaders. Quick example: I can easily think of 6-7 very clear examples of female colleagues that have been filling VP-High seniority level positions for months without the recognizing or salary. When the time comes to actually appoint the "official" person for the role, it is magically "gifted" to a male colleague that may have never been in that department before. If you are or have been an Ironhack employee and are reading this, you probably have a few situations and names pop in your head.
