Pros
Really nice people, fun environment, strong sense of community (especially in Sudbury). Dependable annual bonus.
Cons
I have never known a company that fires people more than JLR. If you accept a job there, know that you're taking a risk. I saw many wonderful people get let go. People I'm still connected with who work there, speak candidly "if I get fired someday..." because it's a reality. I don't know if it's a hiring issue or a leadership issue, but it doesn't creative a positive, secure, or supported environment. Another con is that all senior leadership have worked their entire careers at JLR. They don't know how other companies operate and are just making it up as they go, and making costly mistakes (such as extensive hiring and firing).
