Pros
There's a handful of great teachers doing amazing things in their classrooms ergo are a measure to work with and the pay/benefits are some of the best the area.
Cons
The bad teachers are pessimistic, resistant to change and they single out teachers who are "trying too hard." Curriculum directors view technology in the district as an add-on and refuse to involve a great technology staff into curriculum development and pedagogical conversations. A 1:1 district with little to no vision for leveraging technology to improve student outcomes. Complacency is rampant and leadership lacks the change management skills needed to lead the transition to digital age teaching and learning.
