Pros
- They provide a lot of good hardware for work, which is a huge benefit - Competitive salaries - A diversity of technologies inside, there's pretty much to participate in - Some really good line managers: cleaver, kind, professional - Great office and supplies. Great benefits - medical insurance, PTOs, annual bonus.
Cons
- High management is completely arrogant. CEO may publicly apply swear words to the group of people he doesn't like; makes all-hands meeting lying in the bed with his laptop on the belly. At some point they publicly said that irreplaceable people were replaced, there are no irreplaceable co-workers anymore. - HR is unprofessional and constantly heating up inner conflicts instead of calming them; if they don't like you personally you will not be promoted or may even lose some benefits; loyalty is more valuable than professionalism. It finally lead to the atmosphere when nobody cares about anybody in the company, only fighting for their own place. - Constantly promising and not doing. Promised to relocate people to Spain and after a year of waiting declared instead that all will be relocated to Bulgaria. People who don't want to relocate there lost their time. At the same time so of the people with non-key role have been relocated to Spain quickly. Failed to provide to people residence permit saying that they don't care about that - while other companies did that in order their people feel safe. - Management decisions are weird if not to say wicked, e.g. they announced total hire-freeze, so you can't let go a person with poor performance since there will not be a replacement, continuing to feed people who are not doing anything; at the same time 5% of people were laid off. - Crisis management is on the low level. Instead of uniting, they divide people, e.g. giving more privileges to some: some were relocated to Spain, some to Bulgaria, some are left in Georgia. People feel unsafe and only rely on themselves. - Project management decreased drastically over years: no clear goals, no understanding of where the projects are going. In a shrinking IT world, in circumstances of laying people off, there is still not trying to control costs of development, testing, support and do not try to estimate time spent vs. benefits obtained, instead pushing the decisions.
