Pros
Trucks have fridges and apu. But so does a lot better company
Cons
Everything I have posted is true and everyone needs to know . I am an ex employee. Anyone thinking about joining K & B Transportation out of sioux city iowa... should do it. I'll tell you why.. even tho the pay was good. But over the 6 months I worked there I noticed several things. 1. They call you any time of day.. call you during your 10 hour break. Which is against dot rules. That 10 hour break is your off time. They will even call you at home during in your home time. 2. They rushed and rushed and pushed to the limit of being tired and can't function. 3. They made me drive over 100 miles on back country roads to avoid weigh stations. Due to the fact I avoided hitting someone and my load shifted. Drive tires had over 52,000 lbs on them. 4. They make you site for hours and claim you are late for a load even tho you may be 24 hours early. So that they don't have to give you that so called guarantee for that week. They don't pay you for all your weigh tickets Cut you short on your miles and money on your check. 5. If you get hurt. They will ignore you. I got hurt from having to close a trailer door that broke in half to go to a,next stop a mile down the road. Reopen the doors. Unload the load. Then they decide to get it fixed. Those doors aren't heavy. 6. Claim you are late on delivery when they make a random breath test at concentra. Claim you're late when there was an unsafe default to a tire breaks and lug nuts to the trailer tire after picking the trailer up 7. Don't care about you nor your family that was in the hospital from a stroke. Wouldn't give any extra days to spend time with that family member. 8. They will hang up on you. Curse at you. Very rude and unprofessional I quit this company then they claim they terminated me and claimed lose of cargo. Claimed i was late on jobs . Meaning it's hard to get another driving job. Just alot of things to consider if you want to work for K&B.. beware. . I'd stay away. If I were you.. I would have if I would have known what I know now 9. One you leave and if you had money on your efs card they will shut it off and not allow u to get your money and its like pulling teeth to even get it. 10. The dispatcher I had was rude and unprofessional. I requested to get another one. And they refused after telling me and others in orientation that we could get another one if we didn't feel comfortable with our current one.
