Pros

Pay is OK. Near public transport links. Some good people remain — mainly because they retain their old NHS contract terms and benefits. (New starters will not get NHS pension and benefits etc - bare in mind if applying from another NHS trust.) Some good teams and support functions. Some not so good. Some poor.

Cons

High staff turnover. Higher than normal levels of staff on long term sick. Many staff seem to want to exit or are hanging on for retirement (if on NHS terms). Lack of procurement knowledge and experience evident in those depleted teams. Some promoted way beyond their current skills, experience and abilities to senior management positions. They then come under pressure which triggers a 'blame culture' to pass the buck and mask their lack of capability. Shoddy tin shed offices with leaking roof. Cold in winter and too hot in summer. Clunky failing IT and systems.

Pros

> founding management team started off with a mix of agile work place culture and traditional nhs way of doing things. >

Cons

> not too many options to grow / >cost cutting initiatives implemented just for the sake of it vs. looking at the bigger picture/ >no breath of freshness ( of ideas or ways of doing work) - hesitant in trying out new techniques/challenges >has lost much outside customers so not much variety in terms of offering >too much spend on improvement initiatives without conversion for the long term

Pros

Feels like you’re doing something worthwhile working for the NHS, but you are simply cutting back services to save money.

Cons

Awful company, toxic culture and non-existent morale. People come and go, and are miserable while they’re there. Numerous grievances and external investigators against senior leadership, but the company always protects them. Numerous reports of work related burnout and medical issues, INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR by management, non acceptance of sick leave, poor mental health, refusal to promote as lower roles are needed - all covered up by HR and approached with an unsympathetic ear. Company survey feedback is diabolical - people are miserable, sick, burnt out, and not heard. Nothing changes. There are no tangible benefits. ‘Office’ location is sad - a trailor unit, located in the middle of nowhere. New leadership comes and goes, calling the culture toxic. Noting that people fail to say hello to one another, even within teams. People do not communicate with each other, teams do not interact. There is clear favouritism in workload recognition. Save your dignity and sanity and work quite literally anywhere else.
