There are plenty of intelligent and capable people across the business, and the product itself is strong. Free class in micromanagement, and great opportunities for learning patience while getting told off.

Senior leadership is by far the biggest issue. Experienced employees are regularly replaced with people who appear to share similar backgrounds to leadership, despite lacking relevant experience for the roles they are hired into. Priorities shift constantly, accountability is inconsistent, and decision-making often feels disconnected from the operational realities of the business. There is a clear lack of understanding from leadership around several core functions of the company, yet major decisions continue to be made with little visible consideration for employee feedback or expertise. This has resulted in low morale and a widespread lack of confidence in leadership. One CEO in particular has been a major factor in high staff turnover and the ongoing loss of employees. Excessive micromanagement. Excessive. Constant unnecessary meetings, and unprofessional behaviour have created an extremely difficult working environment. Interactions are frequently confrontational, and many employees appear stressed, disengaged, or concerned about speaking openly. These are longstanding issues rather than short-term growing pains, and there appears to have been little effort to address them meaningfully. As a result, the culture has become increasingly negative and even hostile over time.

One founder in particular expects the whole company to give up their evenings and weekends to work overtime (with no extra pay) because they constantly make bad business decisions and expect EVERYONE else to pick up the slack. - Love to find someone to blame for their bad leadership and then build a case against them to fire them. - Supposedly care about their customers but always talk about how to make it harder for them to cancel subscriptions or cheat their way to the top. - Often put meetings in at 5:30pm on a Friday so that you end up working past 6pm on a Friday - Severe favouritism leads to 90% of the employees feeling demotivated, stressed and under constant pressure to meet unrealistic expectations - No career progression plan and if you do ask for it, you’ll probably get told to focus on your own role and working towards the companies KPI’s before considering a promotion - told if you can’t hack it then they don’t want you anyway - if you’re okay with working somewhere that acts like this work is literally life or death and under constant threat of being fired, then go for it! If you want any remnants of a work life balance and like your mental health, then avoid at all costs
