Pros

Kentik has been one of the most genuinely positive work experiences in my career. The company is full of incredibly sharp, friendly engineers who actually care about solving meaningful problems. The leadership team is transparent, approachable, and seems to truly value employee input — not just in theory, but in the way decisions are made. The problems we work on are complex and interesting, especially if you enjoy distributed systems, networking, and large-scale data. It’s the kind of place where you can stretch yourself technically and still feel supported. Work-life balance has been solid for me, and people here understand that you can be ambitious without burning out. Overall, Kentik feels like a company that’s growing in the right ways and still has that sense of purpose and camaraderie you don’t always find as companies scale.

Cons

Cons: Because the company is growing quickly, priorities can shift faster than some people might like. You have to be comfortable with change. Some processes are still evolving, which is normal for a company at this stage, but it can feel a little unstructured at times. Cross-team communication is generally good, but with distributed teams, things occasionally slip through the cracks.

Pros

Fantastic Benefits - no one complaints about their generous plans in the Americas. International employees get good coverage for their regions. Scaling quickly and excitement about our opportunity is everywhere. This also means you may have to pivot with your priorities. I've never worked with such a smart and welcoming company. The people are friendly, curious and helpful. I'm lucky to have made some friends there.

Cons

Rapid growth means teams need to communicate well, and this doesn't come easy for some. During crunch periods, burnout can creep in, but letting your lead or manager know will often help get clarity and relief.
