Pros

As other reviewers have stated, Keybridge strives to hire well-educated, hard-working, and curious employees who take a genuine interest in their clients' work. Because of its small size, Keybridge is able to include a significant portion of current employees in the hiring process. The benefit of this is twofold: it allows candidates to better understand the company culture, and it allows current employees to ensure that each hire brings new, valuable skills to the existing team. Similarly, as a result of this tight-knit culture, new employees will find themselves able to gain experience that greatly exceeds what they might otherwise expect in a junior position at a larger firm. New hires will work closely with upper management, often in client-facing roles early on in their career. This provides an invaluable learning experience that cannot be replicated elsewhere. Finally, Keybridge works with a broad range of clients, meaning the work rarely -- if ever -- gets stale. Employees work on a number of different issues throughout their time with the firm, which provides a challenging, stimulating environment that any curious individual would enjoy being a part of.

Cons

As some others have stated, Keybridge's size means that the path for growth within the company may be narrower than that of another, larger firm. However, for those who wish to pursue that route, there is certainly the opportunity. In addition, the value of the experience gained from working at Keybridge greatly outweighs any potential downside as it relates to internal advancement.

Pros

KBC invests in associates' professional development and prioritizes team culture. Lots of great on-the-job learning, very collaborative environment. Associates can earn high levels of independence and client management experience early in their careers. Great benefits package as well!

Cons

As with most PR firms, work loads can be demanding and not always evenly distributed. You can expect to stay late from time to time, but management is helpful re-distributing work where needed. Because it's a small firm, there are limited opportunities for growth within the company -- the turnover rate is pretty consistent.

Pros

Keybridge empowers its team to engage with a wide range of clients and policy issues. Everyone at the firm demonstrates a remarkable level of intelligence and -- more importantly -- humor and empathy. It's a professional environment that encourages collegiality and guides team members to achieve their potential with strong leadership. This is an ideal landing zone for anyone who enjoys writing about or engaging with policy from multiple angles. The salary is good when you factor in the sheer number of paid vacation days and other benefits -- like company-sponsored happy hours and dinners that occur frequently. The education you receive from arguably the best op-ed writers on the planet also constitutes a form of compensation.

Cons

None. There was never a single day when I disliked this job -- and that's not any hyperbole. It doesn't even feel like a job if you are innately interested in writing and policy -- or if you simply enjoy talking to people.
