Pros

-Snack allowance -East Austin location -Owner will be willing to teach -You will get personal attention as an employee

Cons

-Has engaged in wage theft with multiple employees -Has certain employees listed as "contractors" even though you are required to come into the office and follow his instructions, which is against the law, a way to avoid minimum wage laws and not pay taxes -Gives a sense of a fun laid back environment but will actually micromanage

Pros

Great culture - the team is a pleasure to work with and each person is a high impact player. Organizational processes and culture are built on a foundation of transparency so it's easy to see what's going on in the company and where both the bright spots and trouble areas are. Work with new, exciting technology daily - the development team is always on the forefront of web and application development trends. Sterling is a fantastic leader and CEO - he builds the brand, is constantly working on culture and reinvesting in the team's growth, and more importantly he takes feedback constructively and uses that to grow the team and his leadership accordingly. It's a small growing team so there is a ton of opportunity for upward mobility and growth amongst employees - own something and get rewarded for it. This means there's high potential but also high accountability associated with the job.

Cons

There are not many downsides - it is still a startup environment and so prospective employees should be ready for that. People who don't do well working on their own, need a lot of direction on process, or aren't ready to grow and learn with the company's growth probably wouldn't be great fits.

Pros

Great place to start your career and learn a lot of different skill sets that you never even imagined. Ability to influence and implement processes in the company. Interesting and quirky group to work with.

Cons

Can be pulled into a lot of different directions at once with every task as a high priority. There are a lot of growing pains that I would imagine other start-ups go through as well.
