Business Outlook

Pros

-Great people. Most of the employees that you'll be working with are super smart and hard working. The average manager/supervisor really cares about their team. -Growth opportunities. Kibo needs to fill out their ranks and they intend to do that from within. If you come in and you're good, they'll take care of you (promotions, cross-function training, accelerate into leadership/supervisory positions). -Young company. Literally. Very young work force full of employees under 30. Makes for a fun company culture, a lot of energy in the building. -Small Perks. Things that make life easier. Transportation stipend, self-managed PTO, decently flexible hours, free food/drinks. -Strong Product/Position in the Market. Kibo's ecom platform and suite of products has a ton of potential and already has many big brand customers.

Cons

-Transparency from upper management has been spotty at best. Layoffs, raises, bonuses have been poorly communicated, if communicated at all. Upper management has instituted monthly company-wide meetings, but these are high level in nature (discussing profitability, new clients, major changes). -Turnover. There has been a lot of turnover on basically every team. The highest turnover might actually be in the upper management ranks. Some of that is par for the course when companies merge together, but a lot of people have left. -Comp package. Pay is low and benefits are pretty bad. Med insurance is fine if you're single/young but rough if you have a family.

Thanks for the feedback. The holding people accountable resonates well. It's important not just to have the company-wide meetings, but to drive communications down through management as well. This is an expectation I have and will push to improve through the senior and mid-management ranks.
