Pros

100% remote working. They provide healthcare plan, 401k, access to HeadSpace mobile app, company swag, and social committee events. Average vacation time 3 weeks per year.

Cons

As an employee of KLG, I reflect on the transformation this company has undergone. What used to be a beacon of professional excellence has regrettably descended into an environment riddled with antagonism and internal conflict. This shift has not only impacted the creative, digital, marketing, and sales teams but has permeated through the entire organizational fabric, leading to widespread demoralization and burnout. Concerning Leadership and Unrealistic Expectations. The root cause of this downturn can be traced back to the leadership approach adopted by the board committee. The expectations set were not only ambitious but often veered into the realms of unattainability. This had a ripple effect across all departments, culminating in a culture of relentless overwork and diminished well-being. The recent, somewhat opaque, departure of the former CEO and the subsequent abrupt layoffs of around 30 contractors—including those on holiday—serves as a testament to the deepening crisis within KLG. Perpetual Promotions and the Illusion of Progress Despite numerous promotions and endless marketing efforts, the company's performance continues to fall short of expectations. A constant state of emergency has become the norm, with back-to-back promotions and discounts failing to yield the desired results. This frenetic pace has not only strained resources but also eroded the team's morale and effectiveness. Acquisitions, Shared Services, and Overburdened Staff The strategy of acquiring multiple companies and implementing a shared services system has further exacerbated the situation. Professionals are now stretched thin, often juggling multiple roles, leading to severe burnout. This approach, while perhaps financially motivated, has overlooked the human cost and is unsustainable in the long run. A Culture of Late-Night Demands and Authoritarian Leadership The current work culture, particularly under the vice president of marketing of the A&F team, is a cause for concern. There's an alarming trend of receiving last-minute tasks late at night with unrealistic deadlines for the next morning. This modus operandi, marked by authoritarianism and a lack of empathy, has fostered a toxic environment where intimidation, psychological harassment, and disrespect are becoming normalized. The Role of HR and the Ongoing Pressure Despite these glaring issues, the response from HR has been minimal. The relentless drive to increase revenue continues unabated, overshadowing the need to address these deep-rooted problems. It's discouraging to see a company, once admired for its culture, lose sight of its most valuable asset—its people.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience at KnowFully Learning Group. We take all feedback very seriously. This feedback differs from the very high satisfaction ratings and positive sentiments expressed in our recent employee survey where the majority of our employees feel supported by their managers and valued by their teammates. Although this may be an isolated incident, we want to assure you that we are committed to addressing issues and continuously improving our company culture and management practices. Your feedback serves as a valuable opportunity for us to look at areas for improvement and ensure that all employees feel valued and supported. We acknowledge that we took a pause on our acquisition growth in 2023 for some of the reasons you described above. Like any other organization, we have challenges but have been working diligently to add more structure around prioritization of projects and future acquisitions. We are a 100% remote workforce and have a flexible work policy that supports work-life balance. In smaller companies, employees often have to wear many hats. To some, that can be a challenge but to others, it can be a way to expand current knowledge and skill. However, if the need exists, we will assess and hire where necessary. We emphasize the importance of well-being with our continuous campaigns highlighting ways to use the company-paid Headspace app. We have made our culture a priority and expect that all employees will be respectful of one another. We invite you to reach out directly with any specific concerns you would like to discuss further. We appreciate your candor and want to work towards a positive resolution. - Jenny Brown, Chief People Officer

Pros

Receiving a paycheck for work.

Cons

Knowfully is owned by Nexphase Capital; a private equity firm, meaning they primarily focus on money and treat employees as disposable. They will pay you as little as they possibly can and give you the bare minimum for benefits. Keep your expectations low and be ready to be laid off at the drop of a hat. I strongly suggest looking for work elsewhere, Knowfully does not respect their employees. I worked there for 16 years and they laid me off because of a "re-org". I couldn't sign the severance agreement because it was dependent on me completing a massive project in 3 days. They laid me off and then gave me 3 days to finish a complicated project; there was no way that I would have been able to do that. It felt like they gave me an impossible task on purpose to avoid paying me severance. Because of me not signing, they also withheld my bonus from 2024. They didn't even say thank you for my 16 years of work, so disrespectful. It's charming how HR keeps responding to these negative reviews; I suggest ignoring the sickeningly sweet corporate responses; I'm excited read the one they give this review. There's good reasons why this place has such a low rating here. I'm happy to see there's so many people who aren't afraid to give their honest opinions.
