Pros
Small company so you get a lot of responsibility, fast! For someone who is trying to get quick experience and skip to a senior positions, this company provides that. You are handed a plethora of things to do, meetings with big clients, etc., great way to get quick experience, or beef up your resume. Also, decent pay for the amount of work. They must have increased their hire budget, because my salary isn't too bad.
Cons
Where do I start. 1) You will not be able to successfully do your job because of the incompetence of the people in this company. LELO has built their company on old traditions and ways of business, and it's killing their talent and new hires. 2) If a colleague above you is wrong and screws up your job, meeting, project, etc, you will be blamed 100% of the time. Forget 360 feedback and reviews. This company defends their incompetent staff tooth and nail. Good luck trying to give any feedback, it will fall on deaf ears. 3) Half of your team isn't even around. You will be expected to work all hours of the day to accommodate with colleagues that work in 4 different time zones. Expect to respond to emails on weekends too. 4) No real culture in the company, everyone is working at their own pace, also, there are cliques. 5) I seriously do not recommend this company to anyone, until they really do some deep cleaning of the people in this company. They do not know how to retain talent, set goals, take and give feedback. 0/10 would not repeat this experience. 6) Telecommuting is non-existent, unless again, you're an "old timer" of the company and have seniority. 7) Did I mention you will fail no matter what? you will not be set up for success in this company, it's a constant disappointment, and be prepared to be thrown under the bus a few times by the people who wanted to "see you succeed" 8) You can tell I'm jaded by the experience, and feel I have wasted my time in this company. Please take my experience as a lesson. 9) Most of the senior level staff have extreme egos...even some junior levels as well. It's really sad because there are a few good apples in this company that are holding the entire company together. If it wasn't for those few people (and I mean 1-2 people), I would have been gone already.
