Pros
All the perks of being a small, but established company. The office environment feels very much like a family. There is a lot of autonomy for seemingly everyone to do their job without being micromanaged at all, but while also having great leadership when appropriate.
Cons
The smaller company with a laissez-faire mentality from the top down can be frustrating for those desiring a formal, and rigid structure to their work day. As some one who largely reaps the benefits of this approach, there are times when the lack of formal processes can create internal confusion and disarray; however that is the exception more so than the norm. The pay in my role is extremely accommodating, my only gripe with compensation is that there is no form of tuition reimbursement.
