1. Many coworkers, especially the majority of female tech employees at LabKey, are extremely hard working, talented and inspiring;
2. Flexible work schedule for software engineers are beneficial for work-life balance;
3. Work can be meaningful and fulfilling
Cons
1. Some senior managers don’t have good people and project managing skills.
2. Consequently, certain senior managers, including a few C-suite executives, impose inconsistent culture and standards on their employees, based on the employee’s personal relationship with the CEO or other senior-level executives.
3. LabKey is a small company, yet a few C-suite executives try to enforce a multi-level hierarchy that obstructs the free flow of information and transparent communication in order to secure power for themselves.
4. It is not the best place to be a woman in management. They will be condescended to, and their male supervisors will often take credit for their work.
