Pros

Good commission scale, friendly environment. The company shares profits with us. They don’t have a 401 matching plan because it would force us to deposit in order for them to match. They just give us a portion of the profit every year. Generous

Cons

None that I can think of

Pros

Some fellow employees are nice. You get your own cubicle so no one disturbs you while you work. You get an hour for lunch.

Cons

Where do I begin. This company is a total mess thinking that it is a multi-million dollar corporation when in reality there are a whopping 10 people working in the whole company and sales are dropping like flies. To make matters even worse, there is no communication between departments so constantly people are stepping on other peoples toes by taking each others' accounts and calling established customers to take them as their own, sales associates are coming over to customer service to yell at us for messing up an order/losing one of their customers, and products are always back ordered or delivered way late so forget about maintaining business. Not only are things a mess within the team, but our own gloves are cheap and break easily that we are constantly getting complaints how awful the product is, therefore sales are plummeting. Again, good luck maintaining and adding new business. Not only is this company failing, but the culture and the people in management of this place is down right horrible. An employee brought her dog to the company and had it wait in her car until her lunch break only for managment to find out. After they discovered the dog, there was a lot of screaming, swearing, and the woman was fired in front of everyone in the company to witness. Another woman was fired for being chronically ill in the hospital for a week and not coming to work. However, since company does not have medical leave and does not except hospital notes, her absence was just seen as not being at work. So basically if she liked her job, she should have been at work regardless if she was dying. Lastly, this company will lie to your face about what they offer. For example, vacation days and commission. They will tell you that you get 18 days PTO but no. If you start in June, you slowly earn 1.5 day each month you've worked here, capping at 18. Even if you accumulate 18, they are not yours to decide what to do with. So if you want to take a 2 week vacation and have the days for it, you can't because you would be gone too long. Another thing is that management will increase your commission goals by adding accounts to your pipeline whenever they feel like it. So the BS they feed about a your goal never increasing is not true. If you don't make your base goal, you don't get commission that month. Another thing, if management gives you dead accounts or a customer hasn't been buying in years, they are still included into your base commission goal. The expectation is that you'll add new business to make up for the deficite in your pipeline, however when you have sucky business practices and not so great products, good luck trying to get any one to buy from your or continue to buy from you. On average, most people get about 10 new accounts a year. If you are lucky, they are big accounts like universities or food plants, but in reality, big coporations who you would make great commission on are already in contracts and will not waste their time with tiny companies like LabSource, crappy products, or constant back orders. So if you think you'll be making bank in commissions, forget it and get cozy with a $35K base and a few extra hundred a month here and there. So if you like failing companies, to be treated poorly, or like to see others suffer, then this place is certainly for you. If not, then don't waste your time; there are better companies that will pay you better, have better policies, and treat you with respect.
